Bio

Nicole Beaver is a freelance writer, poet, and artist.  She began college at Illinois Central College and then transferred to one of the nation’s top ten women’s undergraduate schools – Hollins University.  All her entrance exams were waived; however, she returned home to care for her parents and graduated from Eureka College with a B.S. in Political Science and History in 2006.

She has enjoyed reading dictionaries since she was young.  She often studied vocabulary independently to learn a word’s meaning, origin, and synonyms.  She frequently wrote poetry in her youth, but it was only to cope with life in the country or to express her emotions transparently.  Her subjects now are usually to boost morals.  Her triumph is helping others to achieve their goals in life.

Therefore, she enjoys writing about motivational things.  She’s had to depend upon a solid foundation of common sense to overcome life’s catastrophes.  One such event was being diagnosed with Multiple Scoliosis in the summer of 2014.  Therefore, in March 2015, she began pureheart75.com, where she has done about two hundred and fifty poems and paintings together.  In 2018, she branched off into heart-won.com and produced fifty more poems and paintings.  There is now an abundance of poems in acrostic between the two websites.

In July 2015, she began blogging on nicolebeaver.com to encourage others but concluded it after a few years.  (Only to pick it up again and continue to blog at the end of the summer in 2019).  She also enjoys using Twitter (also known as “X”) to communicate supportive things or occasionally commenting on one of her Facebook pages.  (Courageously overcoming obstacles – laugh!)
